9 Mile Tavern and Canoe & Kayak Rentals

At the beginning of the Flambeau River State Forest, you'll find 9 Mile Tavern, the starting point for canoe or kayak river trips. Here you can grab your snacks before setting out on your adventure. Shuttle service is provided. Old Town canoes and kayaks are featured for day trips as well as two and three day trips, or longer. There are several stretches of river for you to take - whichever you choose, you will have enjoyed a most scenic and spectacular river. The Flambeau River is recognized as one of the best canoeing rivers in the nation!
