About Red Cedar Lake State Natural Area
Red Cedar Lake is an irregularly shaped 370 acres, with extensive surrounding wetlands. This relatively undisturbed marshy shallow lake provides excellent habitat for numerous waterfowl and marsh birds. Designated a State Natural Area in 1984 and owned by the DNR, no motors are allowed but hike in and enjoy the scenery.
