About Lake Wissota State Park
Lake Wissota State Park is a scenic gem near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, spread across over 1,000 acres of mixed forest, prairie, and lakeshore along the northeast shore of the 6,300-acre man-made Lake Wissota. Whether you’re looking to swim or sun on the sandy beach in summer, launch a boat or kayak, fish from the accessible pier, or stroll wooded trails with panoramic views, there’s something here for every pace.
The park also offers family and group camping, picnic shelters, a nature center, and year-round trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Open daily from dawn until late, Lake Wissota invites you to unplug, explore, and enjoy nature in every season. Pets are welcome in Wisconsin State Parks but must be on a leash and under control at all times. Certain areas may be off limits to pets. Visit the website for more details.
