About Whitefish Dunes State Park
Discover the natural wonder of Whitefish Dunes State Park, a cherished day-use destination on the eastern shore of Door County, Wisconsin. This 867-acre park is dedicated to preserving the most substantial sand dunes on the western shore of Lake Michigan, including "Old Baldy," the tallest dune in the state. Explore over 14 miles of scenic trails that wind through the dunes and forested areas, offering opportunities for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The Nature Center provides year-round educational exhibits on the park's ecology, geology, and rich cultural history.
This park has adaptive equipment available for people with mobility impairment including beach wheelchair and a special beach trail.
