About Fontana Fen
Take one of three annotated walks at this 10-acre conservation area, home to the calcareous fen. This rare type of wetland prairie has an internal ground water system that supports only a few specialized plants.
The fen is located off Highway 67 next to St. Benedict Catholic Church. The parking area is located at the corner of Main Street and Dewey Avenue. The area is open daily, year round with no admission fees.
