About Brown County Reforestation Camp
Spanning over 1,400 acres, the E.J. "Ollie" Smith Reforestation Camp provides a range of outdoor activities suitable for all ages. Popular summer pursuits include picnicking, fishing, and hiking around the many small ponds. For outdoor lovers, scenic trails throughout the Camp offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
During winter, the Camp becomes a favorite destination with its expertly groomed cross-country ski trails, including lighted paths, as well as fat tire bike and snowmobile trails. In autumn, hunters often visit the Brown County Rifle Range in the northeast part of the Camp to sight-in their firearms.
