Must-See

Wisconsin is home to spectacular must-see landmarks apart from our sports arenas and dairy farms. So, when it comes time to plan your next family trip, couples retreat or solo adventure, add some of our must-see sights, like the Wisconsin Capitol, to your itinerary and enjoy memorable vistas with the ones you love.

Explore Harbor Towns

Wisconsin’s harbor towns are destinations unlike any other and must-sees at that. Found along 1,100 miles of coastline, these communities range from thriving urban cities to quaint fishing villages. One of the best ways to explore several harbor towns all at once is on a road trip. Explore major cities like Milwaukee along the Lake Michigan Circle Tour or wander through small towns like Baileys Harbor on the Door County Coastal Byway.

Door County is also a must-see attraction in its own right. Take advantage of the many outdoor activities found here, from hiking to cherry-picking, on a scenic peninsula that offers high-end lodging and pristine freshwater beach access.

Journey on Lake Superior

A chain of 21 islands on Lake Superior, you don’t want to miss an opportunity to see the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore with your own eyes. Featuring stunning rock cliffs as well as six historic lighthouses, see the sights up-close on a kayak or hiking trail, and if you’d like, sleep under the stars at any of the picturesque campsites.

The largest of the Apostle Islands is Madeline Island. Accessible by ferry from the town of Bayfield, the island is home to Big Bay State Park, Big Bay beach and the Madeline Island Museum. While a wonderful spot for artists, golfers should also plan a visit to the Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed golf course. All those sights make Madeline Island and Bayfield, a coastal town with some of the best kayaking and dining in the area, two more of our must-see spots.
