The Milwaukee River flows along a scenic route into the City of Milwaukee and features a number of low-level rapids. Several dams must be portaged. During low water, travel can be difficult due to exposed boulders and bars. Access is available at parks and dams. NOTE: Trips below Estabrook Park in Milwaukee are not recommended because of the heavy harbor traffic.
