Montreal River - West Branch
Information:
715-561-4334
For most of its length, the Montreal River forms the border between Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Under high-water conditions, it is one of the Midwest's most challenging whitewater kayak rivers. Water levels fluctuate greatly by season. The river offers Class II-Class V rapids and numerous falls. NOTE: This river has not been officially surveyed. For expert kayakers only. Low-water conditions make the river impassable.
