Paddlers can canoe the entire length of the Oconto River. The northernmost section above Chute Pond features 15 rated rapids. Water levels must be medium high or above and should be checked locally. NOTE: Because of difficult whitewater and obstacles, this section should not be attempted by a novice. The river below Chute Pond continues moderately to its mouth on Green Bay.
