Biking is an efficient and convenient mode of transportation that provides a high degree of independence and flexibility. The City of Eau Claire has 28.94 miles of recreational trails, and 4 miles of mountain biking trails (located at Pinehurst Park). The trail is 10 feet wide and surfaced with asphalt pavement. All of the bridges are decked and railed for riding safety. These year round trails are used by bicycle commuters, recreational bikers, skaters & more. At Short Street, the Eau Claire City Trail connects with the Chippewa River State Trail. Passes are required after this point.
