NOTICE: Barron County Trails are open; however, ride with caution as snow cover varies greatly across the county. Open areas may have minimal snow, bare spots or ice.

There is a short reroute on Trail 51 near the intersection of Trail 31 due to logging in the area. Reroute is signed.

Groomers have been out all week smoothing trails! Conditions are still good but there are icy areas especially in corners.

Kumalong Sno-Rider's trails are still CLOSED mainly due to lack of snow! River Road Riders Trails are OPEN, 3 to 6" of snow on an icy base, has been groomed, Trails in FAIR condition north of Hwy 64, poor condition south of Hwy 64. Enjoy with caution!

Polk County Snowmobile Trails are OPEN as of 1/19/26 Frozen Ground ATV/UTV Trails are also OPEN. The Stower Seven Lakes State Trail is NOT open to snowmobile or ATV/UTV use.

Zone 7 and Corridor 22 East of intersection 26 into Rosholt, of the Portage County Snowmobile Trails, opened are open. All other trails and zones are currently closed.

Price county trails are in EXCELLENT condition with a 4" to 6" base. Another great week of grooming 7 units out on the trails at least twice a week on most trails. It's mid week! Traffic is down! Trails are EXCELLENT! Honest! Everywhere I ride no issues!! Ride safe and support our local businesses

The Rock County Snowmobile Trails managed by the Rock County Snowmobile Alliance and the Sundowners Snowmobile Club are CLOSED. (Rock County Snowmobile Hotline: 608-757-5458)

Trails are all open. Some trails are pretty thin. Some corners are icy. Some brush is hanging out over the trail. Some trails could be rated excellent while some are fair. North of Hwy 8 tends to hold slightly more snow than south. Ride intelligently.

Trails are in great conditions with good snow cover and out of the deep freeze. Ride your side, stay on marked trails. Remember speed limit of 55 at night.

All Taylor County Trails are open to snowmobiles and ATVs. ATVs are prohibited on snowmobile trails when the air temperature is above 28 degrees F. UTVs are not allowed on any snowmobile trails in Taylor County. Please ride responsibly. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Trail 7 between Spirit Lake and Maple Lake is closed. When visiting downtown businesses please park you sled on the corner of Highway 45 and County Highway A. There is no parking on town roads or parking lots of businesses. All lakes have been marked. Please stay close to the barrels.

Trail F of Zone 2 between intersections #56 and #57 will be closed for the Season.

Baker Sno Rovers, Auburndale Nite Owls, Vesper Snow Drifters, and Rudolph River Rovers are OPEN

The WI Nordic Ski League Sprint Championships will take place Saturday and Sunday. The trails will be closed until the races end, tentatively at 3:30 PM Saturday and 1:30 PM Sunday.

the multi-use trail is still in development, and we are very close to getting trail intersection signage installed throughout the system.

Update 2/3: All XC ski trails re-groomed Monday morning! Skate is excellent, classic upgraded to good to very good. Fat-Bike is excellent.

Multi-use winter trails are open for hiking at Astico Park, Ledge Park, Harnischfeger Park and Nitschke Mounds Park/Wild Goose State Trail. Trails are open to skiing/snowshoeing, however, conditions are poor.

YAHOOO, WE ARE OPEN!!! Halls Creek Trail System is OPEN and awaiting your arrival. Lake Emily Trail remains closed due to logging activity. Temperatures will be warmer as we approach the weekend. Get out there and enjoy the splendor of Winter!!!

Skate decks and classic tracks have all been reset this week and are in excellent shape. The Norseman Nordic Ski Race is Sunday February 1st, trails will be open but be aware that there will be some traffic on a few trails in the morning.

Trail was groomed 2/3/26 but has an icy base under the 1-2 inches of fresh snow.

Although open, due to poor base trail conditions, the northern most section of the "A" trail is not being groomed this season. The groomed section of the Red Loop can be accessed at the intersection of trail "L" and "K".

The park out-and-back trail on the west side of Hicks Landing Road will no longer be groomed due to the expansion of the county park and ATV trails in the area.

The Cross Country Skiing trails of Standing Rocks, specifically the green trail, the three inner blue loops, and poplar pass were touched up.
