Located on Madeline Island, the largest of 22 Apostle Islands, this 2,350-acre park sports rugged wooded cliffs with dramatic views of Lake Superior. It contains a State Natural Area that is open for use by the public. Habitats include bogs, barrier beach, boreal forest and old growth hemlock. 4 miles of Lake Superior shoreline and 1.5 miles of sandy beach. Mile long boardwalk, drinking fountain, viewing platform. Has adaptive equipment available for people with mobility impairment including beach wheelchair.
Pets are welcome in Wisconsin State Parks but must be on a leash and under control at all times. Certain areas may be off limits to pets. Visit our website for more details.
