The Wisconsin Historical Society headquarters building houses the library, archives, administrative offices, and the historic preservation program. With one of the largest collections of African American periodicals and archival material in the US. Numerous documents on CORE, SNCC, Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party and the NAACP papers of Daisy Bates.
