The Log Cottage

Situated on land that has been a part of the family for four generations on a semi-private bay of Pokegama Lake near Chetek, this cottage was constructed of local white pine logs that were logged from the family farm south of Chetek and constructed by family members in 1936.The Log Cottage offers boat w/motor, 2 kayaks, canoe, paddle boat and also firewood freeOnce arriving you will notice the privacy of the setting, the tranquility of the lake, the serenity of the turtle pond that is a few yards behind the cottage. The majesty of the bald eagles nest that is only 150 yards across the cove in a tall white pine tree, and relaxation offered by the accommodations from sitting out on the deck and watching the lake to curling up in front of the fire with a good book and a bowl of popcorn.
