Moccasin Lake Cross Country Ski Trail – Elcho

Check out the Moccasin Lake Cross Country Ski Trail in Elcho this season to explore the groomed and tracked offerings of their weaving course. Enjoy the changing scenery of impressive maple, birch, pine and hemlock trees alongside two breathtaking river basins that this forestry oversees. After, refuel and warm up with friends in nearby Rhinelander at a classic Wisconsin supper club. 

Jack Lake Cross Country Ski Trail – Deerbrook

Pack up your skis or snowshoes and make your way to Deerbrook this winter to check out the eight loops of traditional skiing that the Jack Lake Cross Country Ski Trail offers! With family-style skiing for all skill levels, the Jack Lake trails are the perfect destination for those looking to see pine and spruce forests as well as bogs and other wetlands that transform into winter wonderlands each year. 

Chippewa County Cross Country Ski Trails – Chippewa Falls

At the Chippewa County Cross Country Ski Trails in Chippewa Falls, skiers of all skill levels can enjoy varied terrains, trails, and the beauty of rolling hills along lakes and woods.  Explore a section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail that takes you and your crew from the Interpretive Center in New Auburn all the way to Brunet Island State Park in Cornell. Timberland Hills Ski Trail – Cumberland

Timberland Hills Ski Trail in Cumberland offers fifteen miles of rolling to hilly trails, along with 2.5 km of lighted trails for spectacular night skiing with friends. Northwest Wisconsin is rich in Nordic skiing tradition with some of the best trails in the country, which makes the Timberland Hills Ski Trail one of Wisconsin’s premiere travel destinations—just see for yourself! 

Rib Lake Ski Trail – Rib Lake

From the Beginner’s loop to the Championship trail, the Rib Lake Ski Trail is designed for both the novice and the expert skier. Volunteers partake in the Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Club in order to promote and maintain their trails as some of the best cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Wisconsin that includes the incredible Friendship Bridge, the longest bridge used exclusively for cross-country skiing in the lower 48 US states.
