Share

Northeast Wisconsin, known for the excitement of Green Bay and scenic Door County, offers a delightful mix of culinary gems and beautiful landscapes. Whether you’re indulging in craft brews with friends or exploring the local cuisine with your special someone, this 2-3 day itinerary highlights favorite spots within the region.

Day 1: Green Bay to Fish Creek

Lunch at Hinterland Brewery

Begin your journey in Green Bay with a stop at Hinterland Brewery in the lively Titletown District. Known for its farm-to-table menu and handcrafted beers, Hinterland is the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch with your favorite people. Pair your meal with one of their signature brews, such as the Hinterland Packerland Pilsner.

Afternoon in Green Bay

After lunch, take some time to explore Green Bay. Visit the National Railroad Museum or enjoy a walk along the Fox River Trail, offering scenic views of the waterfront and plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs before continuing your journey up the peninsula.

Stop at Door County Distillery

On your way to your next destination, visit Door County Distillery. Take a tour of the distillery and sample some of their locally crafted spirits, from whiskey to gin. It’s the perfect way to toast your getaway through Northeast Wisconsin.

Where to Stay: The White Gull Inn

Settle in for the evening at The White Gull Inn in Fish Creek, a historic bed and breakfast known for its cozy rooms and renowned fish boils. You’ll be just steps away from the water and perfectly poised for more adventures.

Day 2: Ice Cream Break in the Peninsula

Explore Peninsula State Park

Begin your second day at Peninsula State Park, one of Wisconsin’s largest and most scenic parks. Whether you’re hiking, biking, or simply enjoying a picnic by the water, this park offers endless opportunities for outdoor fun and memory-making with loved ones.

Lunch at Door County Ice Cream Factory & Sandwich Shoppe

For a quick bite to eat, head to the Door County Ice Cream Factory & Sandwich Shoppe, where you can enjoy freshly made sandwiches and top off your meal with locally made ice cream in a variety of flavors. Note that the shop is only open during Wisconsin’s warmer seasons.

Dinner at Sister Bay Bowl

Finish your day with a meal at Sister Bay Bowl, a traditional family-owned, family-friendly supper club. It's a historic spot that’s been serving the area since the 1960s. Known for its classic Wisconsin fare, including Friday Night Fish Frys, it’s a great place to experience the state’s culinary traditions.

Day 3: Baileys Harbor and Fish Creek

Morning in Baileys Harbor

Start your final day with a visit to Baileys Harbor. Take a tour of the Cana Island Lighthouse or enjoy a morning walk along Toft Point, a scenic nature preserve with more than two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline.

Lunch at Wild Tomato

Before you leave, stop by Wild Tomato in Fish Creek for lunch. This popular pizzeria focuses on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Margherita or one of their creative specialty pizzas, you’ll find something that satisfies the cravings of everyone in your group.
