Wisconsin’s abundant farmland provides restaurants throughout the state with everything from organic vegetables to pasture-raised meat and internationally award-winning cheeses. Read on to discover fantastic farm-to-table restaurants highlighting local producers and get ready for fresh, memorable meals to share with your favorite foodie travelers.

Eastern Wisconsin

Field to Fork - Sheboygan

With a mission of shortening the distance that food travels from the field to your fork, this aptly-named restaurant has worked with local farms and artisan producers since 2005. Visit for breakfast or lunch to taste simple yet creative dishes made from scratch such as buttermilk buckwheat pancakes with cinnamon butter and local maple syrup or house-made pastrami hash. An in-house bakery, butcher shop, coffee roastery and juice bar round out this impressive Sheboygan spot.

Ellinor - Appleton

The stars of this upscale Appleton restaurant are the wood-fired oven and the local ingredients at the core of each dish. From roasted carrots from a nearby farm to bone marrow served with local sourdough and a variety of specialty pizzas, there’s something for everyone in your group here. The menu changes with each season, and reservations are highly recommended.

Braise - Milwaukee

In addition to their mouthwatering menu that features new, fresh ingredients each week, Braise also hosts a Farm Dinner each season where guests can share a delicious meal and meet the farmers who grew the ingredients. Learn to create your own farm-to-table dishes by taking a course from their culinary school.

Parkside 23 - Brookfield

It doesn’t get more farm-to-table than a restaurant with an onsite farm! Just west of Milwaukee, the menu at Parkside 23 is about as fresh as it gets, with many ingredients grown just yards away in their 10,000 square foot farm. View what’s been freshly picked on their website and see where it’s featured on the menu ahead of time. Once you’re there, pair your meal with a Parkside 23 brew and enjoy with friends on the outdoor patio while listening to live music.

Wild Roots - West Allis

“Farm-to-table” becomes “seed-to-table” at Wild Roots, whose owners are also farmers and foragers supplying fresh, unique ingredients to the restaurant. Choose from delectable brunch options like Pork Belly Banh Mi or lunch and dinner dishes that change with the seasons and incorporate an Asian flair, like delicious Bulgogi Meatballs with kimchi, sesame seeds and scallions.

Western Wisconsin
