Kid Friendly

Think of Wisconsin as a giant playground. We have plenty of places for children to laugh, play and ultimately be themselves. If you’re planning a family vacation, look no further. The Badger State is where kids can grow, play and discover, all while making unforgettable memories with you.

Grow

Museums bring education to life in a fun, inspiring environment. Prepare to be wowed by the hands-on enrichment offered at Wisconsin’s museums, many of which are perfect for growing kids.

Your kids will love the Dinosaur Discovery Museum in Kenosha. This institution is the only museum to focus on the link between dinosaurs and modern birds. Working with the Carthage Institute of Paleontology, the museum presents ongoing dinosaur research. Guided tours are available. Keep an eye out for regular events such as fossil cleaning and even ghost hunting for high schoolers.

Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson Museum is perfect for motorcycle fans of all ages. Located on a park-like campus, the museum has an unrivaled collection of motorcycles and plenty of interactive exhibits. It’s easy to spend a day at this top tourist attraction, also featuring a restaurant and gift shop. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Discovery World is another must-see Milwaukee attraction. The science and technology center includes an aquarium and interactive exhibits on automation, energy and sound.

The House on the Rock in Spring Green, only an hour outside of Madison, houses a “collection of collections” and includes attractions, such as the world’s largest carousel, a dollhouse room and a circus room, sure to delight parents and kids.

Play

We take green space seriously in Wisconsin. Visit today to explore the bevy of scenic national and state parks and forests found here. If your kids enjoy fishing, camping or swimming, you couldn’t pick a better destination.

Speaking of parks in Wisconsin, when visiting Bayfield, be sure to add Frog Bay Tribal National Park to your itinerary. The first tribal national park in the country protects over 300 acres of the at-risk boreal forest. Show your kids preserved, untouched wilderness on two miles of hiking trails along the sandy Lake Superior shoreline.

There are few things kids enjoy more than a waterpark. Whether you’re looking for an indoor or outdoor location, with or without lodging, the Wisconsin Dells has the perfect waterpark for you and your family. Older kids are well-suited for the wild slides at Noah’s Ark Waterpark, and younger children will appreciate the Cub Paw Pool at Great Wolf Lodge

On top of water parks, Wisconsin Dells also has various amusement park offerings, including Tom Foolerys Adventure Park, several go-kart spots and a trampoline park. For a traditional experience, Little Amerricka in Marshall features a classic roller coaster and more than 20 rides and attractions. Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay has been a best kept secret for over a century.

While learning in our museums and playing at our attractions and parks, you and your kids will find excitement in every moment of your family vacation.
