About Schlegelmilch House
In 1871, the fear of fires which swept the lumber town of Eau Claire prompted Herman and Augusta Schlegelmilch to build one of the city's first brick homes. Family members lived in the home until the 1970's. Filled with furnishings typical of the early decades of its long history, it is the site of seasonal public events and is available for group tours and private occasions.
