Taliesin Estate and Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center

Explore the extraordinary home of American architect, graphic designer, writer, musician, and farmer Frank Lloyd Wright. Taliesin, located in the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin, spans 800 acres and includes buildings from nearly every decade of Wright's career from the 1890s to the 1950s. Named "shining brow" in Welsh to honor his heritage, Taliesin was designed to harmonize with the surrounding hills and valley, showcasing Wright's commitment to integrating architecture with nature.

As you walk through Wright's residence, studio, school and additional buildings he designed for his family and students, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for both the beauty of the Driftless Region and Wright's career-defining contributions to architecture. Taliesin stands as a testament to his innovative spirit and dedication to creating spaces that inspire and engage with their natural surroundings.

Designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1974 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019, Taliesin offers a variety of tours and immersive experiences. Adult workshops invite visionaries in nature, architecture, culture and agriculture to engage in meaningful discussions, while youth summer camps empower the next generation of change-makers.

All tours and programs begin at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. Guests can explore local artisan crafts in the gift shop, enjoy river views at the Riverview Terrace Café, and enjoy a meal featuring ingredients from local producers.
