About Barn Quilt Tour
This delightful folk art phenomenon paints a quilt block pattern on an 8x8-foot sheet of wood, and mounts it on the side of a barn or other building. The concept captured hearts of Evansville residents, who added 4x4-foot barn quilts to homes and commercial buildings. Today, more than one-third of 200-some barn quilts in Rock County are in and around Evansville. Go to http://www.ci.evansville.wi.gov/explore_evansville/ for city and area maps. Or visit a local retail shop, the library or City Hall for a free map. A natural place to start a barn quilt tour is on Weary Road at the rural home of one of the original organizers of the barn quilt movement in Rock County.
