Tandem Press is a fine art print publisher affiliated with the University of Wisconsin–Madison. We collaborate with internationally renowned artists to produce original print editions and are widely recognized for our commitment to experimentation, collaboration, and ambitious, print-based projects.

For almost 40 years, Tandem Press has championed printmaking as a platform for creative experimentation, immersive education, and public engagement. Guided by the Wisconsin Idea—the principle that the university’s work should benefit communities across the state—Tandem brings internationally acclaimed artists to Madison to collaborate with students, faculty, and broader audiences.

As part of a world-renowned research university, Tandem Press holds a distinctive place in the field of contemporary printmaking. Our team of collaborative printmakers—highly skilled in woodcut, etching, lithography, archival inkjet, and polymer plate techniques—are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the medium.
