About Eagle River Historical Museum
The Eagle River Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets local history in two locations: The Historical Museum at 1181 Highway 45 South and The Chicago and Northwestern Railway Depot on Railroad Street in Eagle River, WI. The Depot collection focuses on railway, ice castle and downtown business history and The Historical Museum has the main collection following the development of the Eagle River area. Admission is free.
Summer hours at both museums are: Memorial Day - Labor Day, Wednesday - Saturday from 11:00 am -3:00 pm. Labor Day - Cranberry Fest weekend, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Closed for the season October - Memorial Day. Group tours are available by appointment in the closed season.
