Heritage Hill State Park

Officially opened to the public in 1977, Heritage Hill’s 50+ acres house 27 original and reconstructed buildings representing the cultural history of Northeastern Wisconsin from the 1600’s to the present. Step back in time and experience history with all five of your senses! Watch a log become an authentic dugout canoe and barter with the fur trader in La Baye, participate in an 1830s military drill at Fort Howard, learn how to create with fire in Blacksmith’s Shop, make a print on the historic printing press in the Print Shop, or shake up some butter at the Belgian Farm. All buildings, trails, and playgrounds are completely ADA-accessible. Guided special and Parkwide tours and tram service are available on select days during the summer/fall season. Open year-round! The “state park” in Heritage Hill’s name comes from a long and fruitful partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. However, the Park is entirely managed, operated, and funded by Heritage Hill Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit entity. Heritage Hill’s mission is to enrich the lives of others by sharing Northeast Wisconsin’s diverse cultural and historical ties that bind our communities together.
