About Hoard Historical Museum & National Dairy Shrine
The Hoard Historical Museum interprets the history of the Fort Atkinson area. Exhibits include Indian artifacts, 19th century tools and Ornithology displays. Other exhibits interpret the Blackhawk and Civil Wars, along with frontier history. The National Dairy Shrine includes historical dairy farming exhibits, providing information on the significance of dairy farming to our culture and industry pioneers. The Dwight Foster House, the first frame home built in Fort Atkinson, is also on site.
