About Sawyer County Historical Society Museum
The Sawyer County Historical Society owns and operates this 1939 three-floor building. Two floors of exhibits teach visitors about the history of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the logging industry, the CCCs and lifestyles of the "Cutover." The top floor houses an extensive genealogical and photographic collection and research room. The museum has a gift shop with many books on local history available for purchase.
