About Seymour Community Museum
In July of 2012 a new museum opened in Seymour, WI. The Seymour Community Museum is a local history museum with an emphasis on the origin of the hamburger in Seymour in 1885. The 60' x 70' two story structure includes interactive displays on local history and the development of the hamburger. The adjacent building has been converted to an old time country store (circa 1930). On the same street we have our 16 foot statue of "Hamburger Charlie" and the huge grill that cooked the 8,266 pound burger in 2001.
