About Sheboygan County Museum
The Sheboygan County Museum has as its primary mission to collect, preserve, and educate about the history of Sheboygan County. Located in Taylor Park, the Museum Campus now consists of the main museum building and four historic buildings.
The stately brick building reflecting Judge David Taylor's career and the era of 1850-1900; the 1864 Weinhold Family Homestead; the 1890's Schuchardt Barn with rural agricultural displays; and the 1867 Bodenstab Cheese Factory with early commercial cheese making. The Main Museum includes displays related to significant themes of area history, classrooms, and the museum store. Exhibits include Native American history, maritime industry, manufacturing, and other topics of interest, along with a gallery of regularly changing exhibits.
