About Tomahawk Area Historical Museums
The Tomahawk Area Historical Society has 2 museums located at the corner of Washington Avenue and North 5th Street. The museums are open from mid June to mid August; check their Facebook page for current hours. Located in Tomahawk's first school, built in 1888, and across the streeet in a former tourist information log building. Exhibits feature early logging and farming memorabilia, turn-of-the-century kitchen, one-room school setting, an impressive military collection, and displays telling the story of "Tomahawk, the Magic City."
