About Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and Education Center
The Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and Education Center serves to remember the victims, honor those who responded, celebrate the resilience of our communities and country, and educate future generations about the events of September 11, 2001. At the center of the memorial is a steel beam from the North Tower of the Word Trade Center. Learning stations surround the steel beam so that visitors can learn about the attacks that took place on 9/11. A Veterans Area pays tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military. Groups are welcome to visit the memorial, and a volunteer speaker will be provided at no charge for school groups and other visitors if a tour is scheduled in advance. The experience typically takes 35 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the group. There is no fee to visit the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and Education Center
