Set inside a historic Victorian mansion, the Rahr-West Art Museum combines a visitor-friendly atmosphere with a 20th-century art exhibition wing added by Ruth and John West. Works in the museum collection include notable artworks from Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keeffe, Andy Warhol, and even Mary Cassatt.

Visitors can see a replica of a Sputnik fragment, which mysteriously fell through the atmosphere to Earth and landed smack dab in the middle of one of Manitowoc's busiest streets just outside the museum.

Museum exhibitions rotate approximately eight times per year, offering local, regional, and nationally recognized art organized from the museum collections or outside collections.

The museum and mansion galleries are fully accessible via elevator. The Rahr-West Art Museum is a function of the City of Manitowoc, making it admission-free and family-friendly. Ask for the scavenger hunt at the front desk for a fun activity as you explore the artwork and architecture.  After your visit, check out the Shoppe for art-themed jewelry, apparel, postcards, and gifts!
