Evansville 4th of July Festival

The Fourth of July annual 10k/5k/1mile fun run/walk takes participants through beautiful Leonard-Leota Park. The event is held early enough in the morning to enable participants to still enjoy the parade.
The Evansville Band is a regular star in the annual Fourth of July parade, a traditional crowd pleaser.
Fabulous fireworks glow over the water at Lake Leota park.

Four days of fun are waiting for you to enjoy at the annual Fourth of July Festival in Evansville. This community does it right! Come to historic Leonard-Leota Park for picnics, car show, fantastic music and more. Enjoy adult beverages under the big tent, or munch on fair food from great local vendors. This year's event begins with the holiday on Thursday and celebrates right through the weekend.  The community's famous parade begins at 10 a.m. July 4 (preceded at 9:30 am by a short and popular kiddie parade).  Or start your day a little earlier at 7:30 am in the park with the 5K/10K/1mile run-walk fundraiser! (Sign up at runsignup.com.) Festival tent opens at noon every day, and live music will keep your feet moving every evening.  Additional activities include a kids fishing tournament on Saturday, and church service, pancake breakfast and car show on Sunday.  Of course, the best is Evansville's famous fireworks show, seen at dusk on the Fourth of July.  Our very own fireworks king always creates a memorable, spectacular, starry display!
