Calumet County Park is located on more than 200 acres on the east shore of Lake Winnebago. Highlights include the Niagara Escarpment, Effigy Indian Mounds, woods, hiking trails and 71 camp sites, 59 with electricity. In the winter months, there's a tubing hill, cross-country skiing and snowmobile access to Lake Winnebago. For the person who likes mountain biking, you'll find a fun and challenging trails.The trails running parallel to the lake trace the easy shoreline or flat bluff top. Ride east/west and you'll attack the steep 150-foot high Niagara Escarpment. You will also see steep lung-bursting climbs on grades of between 10 and 20 percent and downhill runs that define white-knuckle fun.
