Center Avenue Historic District

Businessmen of the late 1800s and early 1900s built houses in this area of approximately two and one-half city blocks. Nineteen of the houses still reflect their original integrity. Lumber barons and prominent business leaders built many. The district is comprised of various styles that include examples of Queen Anne, Italianate, Prairie School and Colonial Revival.
