Details

Norskedalen, a nature and heritage center, is unforgettable in every season. We offer six miles of nature trails; the Helga Gundersen arboretum; and May through October guided tours of the restored Bekkum pioneer log homestead. Nearby, the Thrune Visitors' Center houses heritage and nature museums, a gift shop, library and meeting facilities. The Skumsrud Heritage Farm, features a seasonal open-air museum with twelve different types of Norwegian immigrant log houses including the 1853 Skumsrud Log Cabin, on the national Register of Historic Places, a museum and gift shop.
