In northern Wisconsin, Sawyer County is a stunning Northwoods destination. With over 300,000 acres of forest including the Chequamegon National Forest, 55,000 acres of lakes and 200 miles of bike trails, there’s a little outdoor recreation for everyone no matter the season. Sawyer County is also home to the largest off-road bike race in North America, the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, the Lumberjack World Championships, the premier lumberjack event featuring chainsaws, log rolling, choppers and more, and the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, complete with a four story tall Musky (perfect for a family photo!). Sawyer County is also a golfers haven, with 10 golf courses within a 25 mile drive.
