Darlington

Explore your adventurous side

If you like silent sports, you can camp canoe, fish, swim or take up Birding. For the more active adventurer, we offer 40 miles of all terrain trails. ATVers find this a thrill, and you can camp beside the trail with family and friends. Weekends we offer Stock Car races.

Fishing? You’ll catch the big one if you...

Fish the Pecatonica river. Fish on the banks of the river or rent a canoe. Catfish and Walleye are the major game fish. Yellowstone State park is nearby, and blue gills are a favorite. Don't leave without tasting a fish fry on Friday nights.

If you only have one day to spend here in Darlington, shop our unique shops, visit the historical society museum, and visit the Lafayette County Courthouse where Johnny Depp filmed "Public Enemies." Our historic Main Street is a site to see with the Courthouse is at the top and then it slopes down the hill to the river.

Classic scenic drive.

The rolling hills and beautiful farmland of southwest Wisconsin is a sight to behold. Bluffs, lakes, and winding rivers will delight your senses. When the seasons change, the colors will certainly appear like an artist was at work.

Your child will always remember...

Camping with us, riding the Cheese Country Trails on an ATV or snowmobile, fishing in our rivers, canoeing the river and observing the wildlife, and attending the local festivals.
