Seven Wisconsin Snowmobile Races and Runs to See in 2017
Last Updated: 10/18/2016
Whether you’re a "sledder" or a spectator looking to get a front-row seat on the action, there’s no shortage of snowmobile races and runs in Wisconsin this winter. So bundle up and head to one of these Wisconsin snowmobile events for a weekend or afternoon of fun on the trails.
Spirited spectators and top competitors alike can be a part of the fast-paced snowmobile action at the Wausau 525 Snowmobile Championship. This World Snowmobile Association-sanctioned extreme ice oval snowmobile race is the area's must-see snowmobile event of the season!
Poker and snowmobiling come together for the Sno-Dovers Poker Run in Park Falls. Join other snowmobilers as they hit the trails, making their way to local businesses in search of collectible cards. Make sure to stop in for the breakfast buffet Saturday morning at Moose Jaw Resort and Campground. Riders will gather back at Moose Jaw on Saturday evening to determine who has the winning poker hand. Prizes are aplenty!
More than 200 snowmobile racers will gather on West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake for a weekend of action-packed racing and entertainment. Watch them compete for trophies on the fastest shaved ice track in Wisconsin, or warm up inside the heated tent while you enjoy a cold beverage or a hot sandwich. From the Bikini Radar Run to Fly Racing Drags, the weekend will be full of classic Sconnie shenanigans.
Come one, come all to the annual Ride with the Champs in St. Germain. There will be three vintage groups and two late model groups. A bus trip to Three Lakes is a great option for those who still want to enjoy the day but not ride. The fun concludes at the Whitetail Inn for an autograph session, hall of fame dinner and induction ceremony.
Hit the trails or drive your vehicle to local participating businesses and collect cards for the best poker hand. Everyone is invited to a picnic lunch at Russo’s Hill after entries are turned in. Sit around a campfire or in the warming house and enjoy a brat or sandwich and snacks, then warm up with some coffee, hot chocolate or something stronger.
The Snodeo kicks off its annual Ride with the Vets, which includes a free lunch for all veterans, followed by a weekend of snowmobile and motorcycle racing, ice drags and radar runs. Enjoy food and a DJ.
Find your old snowsuit, dust off that old sled and take part in a day of reminiscing about the early days of snowmobiling and awards. The local snowmobile will lead a short ride through the local trails, followed by a hot dog roast and games on a scenic overlook.
