The World’s Largest Music Festival: Summerfest 2013

Happening for its 46th year, the “World’s Largest Music Festival,” returns to Milwaukee’s lakefront on June 26, as Summerfest kicks off its 2013 festivities. An eleven day-long party complete with tasty food, Fourth of July fireworks and jammin’ tunes,  Summerfest is can’t miss celebration for you and your family.  Boasting a history of headliners that include Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Destiny’s Child and Britney Spears, Summerfest 2013 keeps Milwaukee’s fun-filled festival tradition alive this year by bringing in historic and hip acts such as The Eagles, Rush, Fun. and MGMT . With the Henry Maier Festival Grounds home to two large venues, as well as a smattering of smaller, but equally groovy stages, Summerfest is a one of a kind music spectacular that offers a little something for everyone. Whether you like rock, country, alternative, hip-hop or reggae music, you’re sure to find it at Summerfest! Plus, sporting an evening of laughs, Summerfest will additionally be featuring a comedy stage on July 5, as Lewis Black and company take over the festival’s newest venue, the state of the art BMO Harris Pavilion. Stop by June 26-30 and July 2-7 to hang out on the lake, grab a bite from one of the fest’s local vendors and experience a party like no other!

The Summerfest Big Bang Fireworks

The only way to start Summerfest is with a big bang! The live show begins at 9:30 pm on June 26th. Can’t make it to the first night? This spectacular show produced by Bartolotta Fireworks will be broadcasted in HD by WISN-TV, also tune into this channel to see the 9:00 pm pre-show.

Children’s Fest Day

Enjoy a day with the family participating in activities like a welcome to Summerfest from your favorite mascots. The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club’s Famous Racing Sausages, Milwaukee Bucks Bango and many more mascots will be there. Make sure you pick up the free Map of Fun provided so you do not miss out.

The World’s Largest Happy Hour

An ice cold drink is nothing more than refreshing on a hot summer day. Luckily during the World's Largest Happy Hour drink specials will be available on alcoholic beverages (21 years or older) and any 20 oz. soda or water product.

Live Music

It is all about the music. On any given day, you'll hear national, alternative, rock, country, R&B, pop, reggae, headliners and more. You can wander from one stage to another and pick what you're in the mood for. All stages are free with your admission ticket, except for the Marcus Ampitheater performances which are sold separately.

A Party on the Lakefront
