The Second City Hits Home
Chicago’s legendary sketch and improv comedy theatre makes its debut at JPAC with “The Second City Hits Home” a new show featuring hilarious sketches, songs, and improvisation about Janesville as well as material from the famed Second City archives. This is a must see night of comedy featuring some of Chicago’s brightest comedy stars. Doing what they do best, The Second City finds laughs in everything from Janesville’s history, events and hot button issues to headlines from Janesville and mixes these with a generous portion of classic Chicago-style sketch and improv created by some of Second City’s most lauded alumni including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more. A lucky few can participate in a master class workshop before the performance! Participants will learn the building blocks of improvisational acting as they have a great time learning and playing with The Second City company members. This workshop will run from 2:30pm-4:30pm and is limited to 15 participants – please reserve your spot early. Learn more about The Second City at www.secondcity.com. Tickets to the show are $24 for adults and $14 for students. Workshop cost is $50 for the workshop only or $65 for the workshop and performance.
