Merrimac

Merrimac is a tiny crossroads community at the southern end of Lake Wisconsin, a broad expanse of the Wisconsin River created by a hydroelectric dam just downriver. The lake is a popular destination for boaters while the town is famous for its Merrimac Ferry. The free car ferry crosses the Wisconsin River from Highway 113 in Merrimac south to the junction of Highways 188 and 113 just north of Lodi.
