Georgia O’Keefe, one of the leading artists of the 20th century, was from Sun Prairie.

 
Details

An 1860s stagecoach inn built alongside a plank road in Greenbush to serve carriage and wagon traffic. The site includes the reconstructed Herrling sawmill, one of a rare few working water-powered mills of its kind in North America. The Wesley Jung Carriage Museum houses Wisconsin's largest collection of hand-and horse-drawn carriages.

Wade House is located just off Highway 23 midway between Fond du Lac and Sheboygan (from either direction, take the Plank Road exit to Wade House).

Hours of Operation

Open 10am-5pm daily May 15 through October 17, 2010. The site reopens for postseason holiday events and special Hearthside Dinner programs once monthly during the winter and spring months.
