Bleating Heart Haven
Bleating Heart Haven is a cottage business/fiber farm located in rural New Holstein (northeastern Wisconsin). We primarily raise registered colored Angora goats, but we also have other fiber animals: White Angora goats, Cormo sheep, Cotswold sheep, CVM-Romeldale sheep, Shetland sheep, Blue-faced Leicester sheep, colored Merino/Corriedales, and Huacaya Alpacas. And, let's not forget Emil, Fritz, and Klaus, the German Angora bunnies! We do all our own animal care from shearing to hoof trimming, and we wash, dye, card, spin, and knit/weave with the fibers. (However, we do need to rely on commercial mini mills when we have too much volume to process on our own.) Fleece, handspun yarns, felted, knitted and woven items from Shetland, Jacob and Cormo sheep, mohair from Angora goats; basketry, hand carvings, willow furniture, homemade soap, fresh and dried organic herbs are available for purchase at the Bleating Heart Haven Fiber Arts Shop.
