Langlade County Veteran's Memorial Park
Langlade County's Veteran's Memorial Park, located along beautiful Jack Lake - 15 miles north of Antigo, Wisconsin. Jack Lake is a pristine, crystal clear, spring-fed lake surrounded by hundreds of acres of county-owned forest, rich with recreational opportunities and wildlife. During the summer, swim from the beach, hike or mountain bike the Game Lake Nature Trails, visit the arboretum, play 18-holes of disc golf, or fish/paddle the "non-motor" lake. In winter, park your vehicle and trailer at the snowmobile trailhead with access to over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails or take a relaxing snowshoe hike on the Game Lake Nature Trail. One mile north is the JackLake Cross Country Ski Trail with over 15 miles of groomed trails for all ability levels.
The park and campground are situated on the lake's west and south shore, nestled among mature maple, birch, oak and pine trees, providing a relaxing and peaceful setting. The campground is open mid-May through mid - October. The campground consists of 48 individual campsites with electrical hook-ups. Campsites are $30 per night. Call ahead for availability since there are 20 reservable sites. All other sites are booked on a first come-first serve basis. Pets are allowed in the campground on a leash. Amenities include newly constructed flush toilets and a shower facility, firewood sales, ice sales, boat rentals, picnic tables, fire rings, playground equipment, volleyball and basketball courts, disc golf, horseshoe pits, and an RV dumping station.
There are also three reservable cabins that sleep 5 people for $70.00 per night. Friday and Saturday require a 2 night minimum. The cabins include LP fireplace, electrical outlets, lighting, dining table, chairs, bunk beds, grill, and fire pit.
