Experience one of Madison’s hottest winter art events as FeLion Studios' hosts the 17th Annual Pour’n Yer Heart Out community iron pour event. This hands-on, family-friendly foundry arts event invites visitors to carve and sculpt their own sand mold and watch it get filled with 2,500°F molten iron during a dramatic live iron pouring demonstration.  

In the weeks leading up to the pour, FeLion Studios also offers special hands-on workshops where participants can create larger, more detailed relief-style molds and learn the fundamentals of iron casting and mold making in fun and approachable guided workshops held inside Canvas Gallery at Garver Feed Mill. These workshops give makers of any experience level the chance to prepare a piece in advance and see it poured during the main event.

What to Expect at PYHO 2026:

• On-site scratch block carving - Glitter Workshop, 10am-2pm (all ages, no experience required)

• Tin casting at “Foundry In a Box workshop” - Canvas Gallery, 2pm – 4pm.  (all ages, no experience required)

• Live iron pour at 6pm - 9pm - watch the foundry crew in action.

• Outdoor heated VIP tent- Sample Dutch oven appetizers and relax in wood fired saunas: 2pm - 9pm Tickets limited

• Outdoor sculptural Firepit exhibit. Stay warm around the beauty of regional artists' fire pit creations along the pour floor. 

• Optional pre-event workshops for deeper, more advanced participation: Workshop participants receive a finished cast iron piece created ahead of the event, that is poured at the event.
