Sunrise to Sunset

In 2017, Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa doubled the size of Frog Bay Tribal National Park, first established in 2011, to 180 acres.  The Tribal Council also moved to enact the greater Frog Creek Conservation Management Area, which permanently protects 300 acres of tribal lands in the watershed.  Stretching over 3/4 mile along Lake Superior's shoreline on the Red Cliff Reservation, this incredible property includes pristine sandy beaches, primordial boreal forest, and a magnificent coastal estuary. The park provides views of the Apostle Islands Gaylord Nelson Wilderness Area including Oak, Basswood, Hermit, Raspberry and Stockton Islands and has 2 miles of trail for hiking and snowshoeing.
