Welcome to Florence County! We are the perfect balance of pristine nature and necessary amenities. We are surrounded by 265 lakes and 165 miles of rivers and streams. Most notably the Pine and Popple Rivers which have been designated "Wild" by the State of Wisconsin. Kayaking and canoeing these rivers as well as the Brule and Menominee Rivers are a great adventure for beginners or advanced paddlers. We also have 160 miles of groomed ATV/UTV trails and 180 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. We have equestrian trails, hiking trails and cross-county ski trails too! Florence County has many fishing and hunting opportunities with over 200,000 acres of public land. For those that enjoy the outdoors, come visit us and experience our beautiful corner of Northeast Wisconsin...year round!
