Nestled in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, Palmquist Farm offers year-round vacation opportunities for adults and kids alike. If you want to roam, 800 acres cater to hunting, hiking, biking, horseback riding (bring your own horse) and cross-country skiing - 23 miles groomed for both classic and skate. The Palmquists will treat you to hay rides, horse-drawn sleigh rides plus you can also enjoy ice skating, sledding, and snowshoeing. If you just want to relax, you will enjoy our log cabin lodges which include the use of an authentic, wood-fired Finnish sauna with private massages by a trained masseuse available upon request. No matter when you come to The Farm, we'll have a hot meal for you to enjoy. Meals for overnight guest vary slightly depending on the season. Winter guests enjoy three meals a day; breakfast and dinner are served in the Farmhouse, and lunch is served in the Lodge. Guests who stay April 1 through October 31 enjoy two meals a day; both are served in the Farmhouse. The Farm is often used for small conferences, business meetings, weddings, and reunions. There are a variety of lodging options for individuals, couples, families, and groups of friends. The White Pine Inn has four 2-bedroom suites with private full baths, living room areas, and private porches. This inn is a versatile building not only for groups or family lodging but also for small meetings and retreats. The Farmhouse is a bed and breakfast with a new main-floor bedroom with a private ¾ bathroom and upstairs are four bedrooms that share one full bath. The Red House has three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The River Cabin has three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The Sauna Cabin has two bedrooms and two half-bathrooms and its own private authentic Finnish sauna. The Maki House has four bedrooms and a bath-and-a-half. In 2009, Palmquist Farm was recognized as a WisconsinCentury Farm; a farm that has been in the same family for 100 years. Their history includes timber harvesting, dairy farming, raising beef cows, and welcoming guests since the 1940's.
