Gichi Gami House

Gichi Gami House is located in a pleasant neighborhood in the historic district of Bayfield, across the street from the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Visitors Center.

Take a 5 minute walk to reach a wide choice of cozy boutiques, unique restaurants and bars, art galleries and more in downtown Bayfield. The lake shore is close by along with easy access to the Madeline Island Ferry Line for a trip to La Pointe and the other wonders on Madeline Island.

This is a place perfect for those seeking a getaway, a respite, a playground for inspiration and creativity, and a connection with nature. Designed with a slow pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay — from brewing local coffee in the morning, to exploring the Apostle Islands by kayak or sail, enjoying the nearby forest trails, or stargazing on our wraparound deck at night.

There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms in the house, with one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and the other three bedrooms and bathroom located on the second floor. Our kitchen is fully equipped for all of your culinary ventures and our living room is fitted with comfy furnishings, a gas fireplace, books and (of course) boardgames.
